On October 3 we celebrate and commemorate Leidens Relief. Then from early in the morning until late in the evening we celebrate that Leiden was liberated from the Spanish in 1574 and we commemorate the importance of freedom. While in other years we have a lot to celebrate in the days before October 3, this year we are going bigger than ever. After all, this year marks 450 years since Leiden was relieved.The 3 October Association is the driving force behind the organization of the Feast of Festivities.
